Backup question

Hi,

I have been using SuperDuper to do regular smart updates from my Macbook Pro (Tiger, 10.4.11) to an external HD. Yesterday after doing this I deleted some of my rarely used files from the macbook, thinking I can always restore them later if necessary. But - next time I do a Smart Update will it also erase those files on the external drive, and if so, how can I keep them there?

Richard

You can't, really, if you want to maintain a bootable backup -- you'd really want a separate "archive" volume you could move these kinds of files to.
