SuperDuper Falsely Accused of Scheduling Problem

I wanted to put this in a new thread, because it's more of an apology to ShirtPocket than it is a continuation of an old thread. I've been under the assumption that SD's latest update had rendered my scheduled backups inoperative. Then I noticed that sometimes they did work. Why? Reason is, MacOS has a problem when waking from sleep via Schedule (in Energy Saver), IF it went to sleep automatically. If you put it to sleep manually, all is well. Rather than duplicate the details, go to this post on Apple's forums to see more if you like.

Sorry I ragged on you a little S.P. You're OK again.

Way to go, Wings!

Wings,

Although Its been over a year since your post, I've got to give you props for being diligent and resolving this issue (and then posting it!).

I walked away from SD 2.5 years ago because of this issue (see the end of the "Flaky execution of scheduled backups? No Sat. AM in "Daily"?" thread http://www.shirt-pocket.com/forums/s...7&postcount=31). Forever searching for a reliable automated back-up strategy, I've checked back every now and then hoping to see if Dave or anyone else figured it out.

So "Thanks!" you validated that I wasn't insane, may have saved me my SD registration fee (except now I need to get iKey), and may have finally given me a workable solution for my backup needs. Kudos.
