Destination Out Of Space: Why?

Hello

I have a dedicated external drive for a daily clone of my entire drive.

The source drive is 233.64GB, with 54.35GB free. The destination is 233.85GB capacity. I backup with smart delete every day.

All was well until today. The backup failed because it ran of space on the destination. It currently shows 233.85GB, 24kb (yes, kb) free. Why?

I am mystified since the source data is only about 180GB.

What file was being copied at the time of the failure? (The Troubleshooting section of the User's Guide should be able to help...)

I think I see now

Aha, thanks!

RTFM!

I did, and now I know at least how to workaround the problem.

There's no indication in the log of which file caused the issue. But now I understand how this could have happened. I have been working with some files that are about 20GB each. So SD must have run into and copied the new versions before deleting the old ones because the names are not the same.

Thanks! But the log (below) could have been more descriptive.

Also thanks for the lightning speed of response.

Have a good evening.
