Will SuperDuper! conflict with Time Machine?

If Time Machine is doing its hourly updates to an external drive and SuperDuper! starts a SMART Update of my user files going to that same drive...what happens? Does SuperDuper! sense the drive is already in use and wait until it's not in use...or does SuperDuper! skip that sync? Or??

Why would it matter if two programs wrote to a drive at the same time?

I guess that answers my question :-) I'm a retired web developer...not software developer. I just wondered if it might screw things up should both be talking to the drive at the same time. Thanks.
