Backing up two partitions

All I've seen in searching is backing up TO two partitions.

I have my main Leopard partition on my MacBook, then a smaller Tiger partition for working on software. Will I be able to run SD from Leopard (when the new version is ready) and have it, basically I guess, clone the whole drive, that is both partitions, or should I be looking at a different program to do this? I haven't bothered with SD on the Tiger partition and trying it from Tiger (I'm hardly ever in Tiger), so I don't know what SD says, if anything, when there is more than one partition on the main hard drive. I'm planning on backing up a 250GB drive to an identical external drive if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Bob
