Making a Tiger Drive with no user info
Hi all, I'm a newbie.
I'd like to use an external drive to make a Tiger startup drive with some applications but with no user information. Then I'd like to add the user information (home folder) from another computer. Essentially cloning half of one computer to half of another. Is this possible and if so, how? Many Thanks David |

You can't really do that, David, because you won't have the proper account information (etc)...

Rats
I'll have to figure out another way.
How about this. I will install Tiger on the External Drive from the DVD. That will get my account info ok. Can I use SD to copy my app. info only? I know I can copy my files etc from the computer in question. David |

Why are you trying to do this, David? To avoid having to reinstall?
