Question Daily & Weekly Rotation sanity check

Hi

I've been using SuperDuper! for many years and always just used one external drive for daily full backups (only one partition.) Lately, I've introduced SuperDuper to other users and started to rethink my own backup approach.

I'm thinking of having two drives for SD, one daily and one weekly. This would mean that I can restore to the previous day or to sometime within the previous week.

Does this type of rotation make sense?

By the way I've just come across Arq, so I'm planning to use that for cloud/ offsite backups in addition to SD.

Thanks

Absolutely - I suggest this in the User's Guide introduction.

Great thanks for the feedback! At the moment I have a scheduled backup that runs when I connect my single external USB drive. With regards to implementing my new scheme is it ok to name the two USB drives, SD Daily and SD Weekly or should they both have the same name? Would this work fine with two scheduled backups both triggered on connect?

If you feel there's a better way to set up the scheduled backups please let me know.

Thanks again
