Cool Fw Drive Wont Boot

Hi Dave

Ive just dropped over to Aussie to do a quick upgrade for our people over here, everything has gone well apart from the final test which was to boot from a Lacie FireWire drive, the boot test failed.

I am set up on OSX 10.4.6, with one internal drive and one external firewire drive, I used erase then copy from A to B with no other specail extras, the copy went well and showed that it could boot. In system prefs, start up disk the drive showed as bootable, selected restart, drive booted back into internal drive, restarted holding down option, the fire wire drive did not show in the slection area.
The scheduled log from yesterday shows everything to be ok, im a little stumped as to why I cannot boot from the drive, any ideas Dave?

heres the log, cheers Budgie.

Are you sure the FireWire drive is properly partitioned as "Apple Partition Map"? What brand and model of drive is it?
