Well, I just backed up a 10.6.8 system with 2.7.2 and it works fine. So that seems strange to me...especially since long beeps are from the BIOS/EFI, which isn't on the drive. Very strange.

If you update that backup with 2.7.1 (which you can readily download from the SuperDuper page), does it do the same thing?
