Restore from NAS

Hello @ all,

I've tried to restore my OS X (Leo) from a NAS Store via SMB using the installer disc. However, it seems that SMB on the console through the installer disc is not implemented.

Does anyone get that working before?

That's right, only AFP works from the installer disc. Does your NAS support AFP?

Not from the standard. It only supports SMB, NFS & FTP..........
So, the only solution will be, put the .dmg on a USB disk and restore from it?

You could do a quick install of OSX to an external drive (memory stick, USB drive, whatever) and that will give you full networking. You could then restore from the NAS.
