Got it-- Well, now that I have a second bootable drive, it seems the smartest thing to do is update my original internal HD with a larger drive that could easily handle the size of the video file, and just mirror that as well. I can't help but think that the ability to "exclude" a file during backup (which Time Machine will allow) could be worked into a later version of SuperDuper!. Thanks again for the help.
