Still need to create non-FileVault user in Leopard?
I am going to be upgrading from Tiger to Leopard in the near future and I was wondering (hoping) that it wouldn't be necessary to create a non-FileVault user account to do SuperDuper Smart Backups…is this the case?

No: you still need to do that due to limitations in FileVault -- otherwise, the FV volume isn't closed/saved and put away.
