My MBP is flawless, but for the size of the drive (only 150GB... or maybe 160; system profiler says 149.05, so who knows...).

Anyway I'm going to put a 320GB in, and am wondering the best...

If the external drive is partitioned, and it's large enough to accommodate two full backups, has anyone found an advantage in scheduling "leapfrog" backups? Say, M-W-F do the backup to backupdrive1,...

500GB external drive/2 partitions = 250GB each (233GB actual). MBP is 160GB, so I should be fine.

There are a few schemes on that options tab,...

I've been doing stuff in garageband, and the files it generates are huge. A five-minute song with two tracks is about 200MB...

So, I know I've got plenty of space...
