Leopard auto mount test case

Just curious if you have people specifically testing with the auto mount feature of Superduper. With 2.1.4, auto mount/dismount could be flaky and it would be great if this could be nailed down with the next release.

Currently auto mount is only enabled if it's a scheduled backup, any chance we'll see this feature enabled for manual backups too?

Looking forward to the new release!

I should note that in my case, I'm using a local firewire hd, not a network volume.

I'm not aware of situations where the automatic mount was flaky on a wide basis, desh...

From what I remember, every now and then it would complain that it could not find the drive to mount.

I have my power options set to wake my computer at 4:27am, with a scheduled backup to occur daily at 4:30am. I just verified those settings but when I look at the SD scheduled backup log it tells me the last time it ran was 10/25 (maybe the day I installed 10.5?) I guess that's why I haven't seen it complain about not being able to mount the drive lately :)

Your wake time should be for one minute before the scheduled copy time, not three...

that reminds me, is it possible for future versions of SD to wake from sleep automatically?

ah ok, I didn't realize I needed to make it just one minute. I was trying to give it some leeway in case the system needed to process events which might interfer with SD from mounting my drive.

Should scheduled backups still be occuring, even though I'm running 10.5? I realize that the data is not fully compatible.

It's something we're considering for the future (wake). And, yes, schedules should still run under Leopard, even though the result will likely not be bootable, and Smart Updates won't be terribly "Smart".
