Permissions

I used super duper to copy all files from a disc I was replacing to a new larger disc. Once I checked that I could boot from the new disc and all the applications where functioning I replaced the old disc with another new disc to be used to back up my new main boot/working disc.

I'm having just one problem. Permissions on the disc I am now working as my working disc are read only and I can't change them. I'm having to enter my admin password to copy anything to the disc and can't unzip files. How can I change permissions on my new boot drive?

You should be able to change the owner of the drive and files in Get Info for the drive...

Even by "unlocking" (after expanding details)?
