Copying a startup disk

Hi there

My start up disk is full! I have installed a much bigger second internal HD. I have bought Super Duper, can I use it to copy across the contents of my full start up disk to the larger one? I have tried it but my Mac will not start form the new one. I have to resort to the instal disk to get it going again. Is what I am trying to do actually possible to do or is there an easier way? Incidentally the internal drives are just for the OS all data is on 2 LaCie Fire Wire externals.

I am running 10.4.11 with a Sonnet Dual processor 1.8 GHz in a G4 Power Mac with 1.5GB ram.

Thanks in anticipation of your advice

Steve

Are you sure that the new startup disk is properly partitioned as "Apple Partition Map"? Is the drive actually supported by your CPU upgrade?
