possible to remote control a Linux/*BSD Server?

Hi...

for ages I was looking for a solution to play music on a remote server using my iBook as a remote controle. Just stumbled across netTunes, what a surprise after years of backing up with SuperDuper!. As I am planning to set up a Debian- or FreeBSD-Server to store my music...:

Do you know a solution to use the netTunes-client on a Mac and have the music server running with *nix...? That would be awsome...

Kindest regards,
Martin

Hi, Martin -- no, that won't work. We're definitely Mac<->Mac and -- even more than that -- we're controlling iTunes itself, not sending the 'music' remotely.

Hi...

thanks for the quick answer. A pity that doesn't work, guess I have to play around with an ugly X11 forwarding of an *nix music player then...

Keep up your excellent work, I really like your software... :)
Martin
