Why isn't SuperDuper in the Mac app store?

I apologize if this question has been asked and answered already. If it was, I could not find the answer. My question is, why isn't SuperDuper available from the Mac App Store?

Apple doesn't allow applications that require "root" permissions in the App Store. Which means we can't be in there.

(Whether we'd want to be in there is another matter entirely.)
