Do I understand correctly that scheduled backups won't run if the Mac is asleep? Also, it seems that if a scheduled backup is missed it won't be done when the Mac does wake. Is this true?

If so, how about a feature request. Do any schedule backups that were missed (because the Mac was either off or sleeping) and/or have S/D wake the mac at the scheduled time (if S/D can turn on, not just wake, the mac for scheduled backups that would be better still).

TIA,
eric

Have you reviewed the Scheduling section of the User's Guide, Eric? You need to set a wake event, using the Energy Saver preference pane, for one minute before the scheduled copy time for it to run w/sleep.

I did not, but I sort of figured as much. Still, I claim "one stop shopping" would be the better way if it's not a huge problem on your (the developer's) end.

My recollection is fuzzy and may be off, but I thought one time S/D did try to perform scheduled backup after the fact (backup wasn't done on time for some unknown reason).

Nope, we never did...
