After years of no problems, suddenly SuperDuper will not complete a Smart Backup.

I initiated a backup, SD asked me to update to 6.2.4, I did, and it hung up after getting about half way through the files. It just sat there, with no activity light on the HD, no change in evaluated count or graph. I waited about 1/2 hour - nothing. I went back to 6.2.3 via Time Machine, same thing. I went back to 6.2.4 downloaded, same thing. I used Disk Utility to check the iMac drive - OK. I repaired Disk Permissions, same thing. I shut off iAntiVirus. Altogether, I tried probably 4 times, and each time SD stopped about half way through the files. The Log said nothing about an error. Below is the last few lines of the log before I Stopped SD the last time.

Any suggestions?

iMac late 2009 running 10.6.8, 4GB RAM. No apparent problems running and no apparent problems with Time Machine doing its thing.

It's likely copying a large file in your Home folder. Drop me a note to support and I'll help you determine what that is.
