I have an external drive that has 2 partitions and another drive that has no partitions. What I would like to do is copy those 2 partitions to the single drive but to set this up so that it automatically does this weekly. What I can't figure out is how I could select both drives to backup to the single drive - currently I have to backup 1 and then backup the other.

Umm, I hope all of that makes sense!

You should create two destination partitions/volumes for the source volumes, and two schedules. Don't mix them on one volume.

Actually with that can I create 2 schedules that start at the same time?

You can set the start times for the same, yes. But they'll run back to back.

I always like to send my Mac to sleep after the schedule has run so with the back to back in mind which schedule would I add that to?

Set one to run a minute after the other and make that one do the sleep.

Thanks again for all your help.
