My MacBook Pro is deceased (RIP), and I have ordered a new one. The old hard drive is fine.
Can I take the old hard drive out, connect it to the new computer via the Newer Technology USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/U2NV2SPATA/), and copy applications and files?
Is this relatively straightforward process using the, "...when you first start the new Mac, you'll be asked if you want to 'copy from another Mac...' " process that you mention in your FAQ about a new Mac? And am I correct that this would be preferable to using SuperDuper! to copy the old hard drive to the new one?
As always, many thanks for the excellent assistance.
