View Full Version : Run a scheduled job on-demand?

I have backups scheduled for 11:00 pm. The "to" drive is normally asleep and unmounted, and SuperDuper mounts it automatically on schedule, does the backup, and then shuts down the computer.

The backup is set for 11:00 only because I very rarely work past that. However, I very often end earlier.

Often I want to shut down early, but don't want to lose the backup. If I manually start SuperDuper it complains about the "to" drive not being available. I currently fire up Disc Utility, mount the drive, then start SuperDUper, then do "Copy Now".

Is there a way to do this more easily?

I don't want to run SD while working, as some of my apps store my work in OSX Packages, and if the backup gets an inconsistent snapshot of the package contents then the backup is corrupt, as far as that app is concerned.

THanks

Open scheduled copies, select the schedule, then click copy now.
