Bootable Backup Over Network?

Why can't SD do a bootable backup over the network? Will this be available in a future release?

Because you can't authorize against a network volume sufficiently to write OS files (etc) without an 'agent' running on the other side, basically writing your own network protocol. It's unlikely, although not impossible, this would be added to a future release.
