Spotlight Indexing after Every Backup

Second Problem:

After backing up to an external drive, when the main computer that was backed up reboots, Spotlight reindexes the drive. Every time.

Is that supposed to happen?

That's expected, Wilder13, because the index isn't valid after a copy. But the internal shouldn't reindex.

I also experienced the same thing as you. My internal started to index after backing up.
