boot from a partitioned disk

i partitioned my backup disk into 4 partitions, and make different SD backups from different mac books

it just occurred to me that i may not be able to boot up or restore to a backup of my choosing.


is that correct?

Why would you think that? You can select the startup disk you want using the Option+Power On "boot menu".

yeah--- i guess so-- didnt recall that upon bootup-- each partition would show to boot from ( i was thinking like a PC)
