I have a standard backup of my hard drive, and can use smart update as usual to keep the entire backup current.
My question:
I would like to use smart update to make a specific directory current, but leave the rest of the backup unchanged. Is there a way to do this?
I know how to write a script that will create a standalone backup of the directory, but my understanding is that if I ran that script (using smart update or otherwise) on the original backup, everything outside the desired directory would be deleted.
Thanks!
PS If it matters, I'm running OS X 10.4
