I suspect this a crazy question but given that the Super Duper user guide emphatically stresses that a Firewire drive is recommended to make a bootable copy, is there any reason I can't - or shouldn't - use an extra, internal SATA drive?

Nope, that'll work fine.

Thought so but since the user manual seems silent on internal SATA, thought I'd better check. As it turns out, I'll probably use a Wiebetech DriveDock via a Firewire 800 connection most of the time so it may be moot. Thanks very much for the reply.
