Change File Name = ReWrite Entire File ?

I'm a photographer and often I will change a files (or hundreds of files) name a day or week after the file is created. If only the name of the file is changed, does SuperDuper rewrite the entire file?

Yes: we really can't tell if the file is just renamed.
