If i clone my 100G HD to a 250G HD then put the new 250 back into my Apple g4 17" laptop will my machine just pick the 250 up or do i need to back up the 100G and install the 250, then restore the 250 from the backup?

It'll pick up the 250, assuming you partitioned it properly (as "Apple Partition Map").

Is that all in the program? I have not downloaded it yet, i still need to get an external enclosure for my 250G drive
