I don't know how it happened, but the last time I backed up my hard drive using Super Duper!, it backed up on my original hard drive until it stopped because my hard drive was out of space.

I have moved most User files to another drive and cleared out some space so I could use my hard drive, but I can't find the files that were backed up. When I do a manual count of the GB used by files in my Finder, it doesn't come close to the "22GB used on disc" when I Get Info on my hard drive.

Where are the "lost" files that Super Duper backed up to my hard drive, and how do I get rid of them to clean up my hard drive?

Thank you!

OK -- this can happen in some situations if the drive failed or was unplugged. Use Finder's "Go to folder" command to open

/Volumes

Once there, look for a folder (not a link or alias) with the name of the backup drive; that's where the data is, and it can be trashed.
