I formatted a friend's PowerBook G4 12" (OS X 10.5.2) Mac OS Extended instead of Mac OS Extended Journaled. I have been told that journaling is preferable.
Can I clone the non-journaled drive to a journaled one, reformat the first one as journaled, then clone back again?

Just open Disk Utility and click the "Journaling" button: it can do this without needing to move the files.

Thanks--I hadn't realized that was all you had to do. (I thought that because journaled/non-journaled was an option when you format the drive that it had to be done only at that time.)
