PLEASE, help?!

I hope there is someone out there who can help....

I was trying to create a backup disk tonight and some how accidently deleted a folder of live work. I am freelance graphic designer and the entire current magazine i am working on is gone!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE tell me there is some utility out there i can run to recover these files.
I have not shut down or restarted... it only happened a few minutes ago.
