SD won't finish backup due to "damaged itunes"

I'm getting the following message when i attempt to backup my mac mini to a Lacie 250g hard drive: Error/ditto:/Users/davidsmith/Music/iTunes/./iTunesLibrary(Damaged):Result too large. The mini has a G-4 chip and is running Tiger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Given the name, I think it's a damaged library -- delete the file, empty your trash and try again.
