hi!

my first post—

i am testing superduper! and am consistently seeing the following error which means i then have to abort the clone:

| 10:56:09 PM | Error | SDCopy: Error creating hard link /Volumes/kronos/usr/share/terminfo/41/Apple_Terminal to /Volumes/kronos/usr/share/terminfo/6e/nsterm for inode (null)\n: Too many links
| 10:56:09 PM | Error | ****FAILED****: result=256 errno=0 (Unknown error: 0)

Are you using "Copy Newer"?

Are you using "Copy Newer"?

if you mean

in the general tab
under "during copy"
select "copy newer files from x to y"

yes — that is the case

thanks for the swift response!

Switch to "Smart Update" and let's see if that fixes things.

yes! that works — thank you!

I am intrigued as to what the problem may have been... any ideas?

Don't know yet, but it seems to have to do with certain types of hard link files and copy newer (which, in general, shouldn't be used anyway by most people).
