I can not remember

I am using 'Smart update", as prompted, to copy my HD. I have an external HD dedicated to SD, nothing else on it. I am copying approximately 44 GB of info and it says my effective speed is 10.76 MB/s. It has been 7 hours and the progress bar is about 3/4 of they way through. I can not remember how long it took last time, am I good or should I start over?
I have an iMac G5 PPC with Leopard, my external is extended journaled.

Successful download! I repaired permissions and I disconnected my firewire iSight camera, everything then went smoothly.
