Make Network & Dev Hidden

I understand that these 2 folders are visible and that when your boot into it they are suppose to become hidden,

might I know the logic behind making these visible in the first place ?

according to superduper its suppose to make the destination identical but as long as these 2 folders are visible its not identical

is there a way to make them hidden without doing any damage ?

I prefer them identical and hidden even when not booted in

The "logic"? It's because, when we ask the system for the attributes of the folders, they're not returned as "Hidden", so we don't hide them.

I really wouldn't touch them. While you could manually apply attributes to hide them, I'd leave them as the system indicates they should be.
