HI there,

I have SD installed on my machine. At the moment I am unable to boot from my backup drive. Is there anything I can do to make it bootable?

The boot option was certainly chosen at boot time.

Cheers,

Noah

What kind of backup drive did you use, what Mac do you have, and how is the backup volume partitioned?

the SD was on an MBP original
and I am attempting to boot from the back up drive on a powerbook G4

one partition on the drive

/dev/disk2s1 117218240 71078936 46139304 61% /Volumes/NOAH FIRELITE

the type of drive is a USB firelite

PowerPC Macs don't support booting from USB drives. :(

More than that, actually, you can't start up a Power PC Mac from an Intel OS.
