Painfully slow network copy speed

Mac A has a sparseimage on it used to hold the backup of Mac B. B connects to A via AirPort Extreme (signal strength: 3 out of 4). SuperDuper! is on B. The copy speed of a smart update is around 0.1MB/sec, sometimes a little higher. B can access the Web at "normal" speeds. I don't have any other apps running on B. Is it normal for network smart copy speeds to be so slow?

Smart Update should be faster than that if you're not making a lot of changes, sportbiker... but, wireless networks are inherently kinda slow (as are regular networks compared to a direct FireWire connection)...
