I just bought superduper and can't wait to use it. I'm waiting on my 250 lacie hd to get here so I can get started. I do have a question though.

I have an old ibook, and a new macbook. I use them for different jobs. I'd like to back each up. If I buy another copy of super duper for my ibook, will superduper allow me to back up both to the same lacie hd? And if so, is it easy?

Thanks!

Hi, Dan. Yes, you can use the same drive to back up both Macs to the same drive.

Since you have two different architecture Macs (Intel and PPC), you'll want to partition the drive into two, using the Apple Partition Map scheme, which is startup-compatible with both the Intel and Power PC macs. Then, simply connect the drive to the Mac you want to back up, and direct the backup to the proper volume (partition)... and you're all set.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. That's what I needed.
