Can I change the name of my Sandbox boot partition while booted from it?

If I change the name of my Sandbox boot partition, will it confuse SD! in any way? Anything I need to do/not do?

I wouldn't change the name of the Sandbox, and definitely wouldn't change the name of the host volume.
