trying to download trial

I am trying to dowload the trial version of SuperDuper! to my Mac Cube (running OS X 10.3.9) When downloading is complet, I have a file named download.php with an Excel icon displayed for it. When I open it, it opens in Excel as a large file of unreadable characters. What am I doing wrong?

You're not really doing anything wrong -- the issue is that you're using Internet Explorer, which has some bugs in the way it handles downloads like ours. If you rename the file to "SuperDuper!.dmg", it'll open properly.

(Seriously, you should also consider switching from IE, which is no longer developed or supported by Microsoft, to something more modern like Safari, Camino, FireFox or OmniWeb.)
